CLEMSON, SC…McBee FFA member Spencer McLeod took first place honors in the State FFA Extemporaneous Speaking Finals at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
“Spencer was awarded an expense-paid trip to the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Tifton, Georgia, in concert with the SC FFA Foundation, to compete in the National Extemporaneous Speaking Finals in October”, Mr. Parris said.
Recently elected as State FFA President, Spencer is the son of Kemp and Gaie McLeod of McBee. His FFA advisor is Pat Earle, Agricultural Education Instructor at McBee High School.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
