WAYNE TO COMPETE IN NATIONAL FFA PUBLIC SPEAKING FINALS

CLEMSON, SC…Megan Wayne, a member of the McBee High School FFA Chapter, took top honors in the Prepared Public Speaking competition held in conjunction with the State FFA Convention at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

“The South Carolina Advocates for Agriculture Organization is sponsoring Megan’s trip to the National FFA Convention where she will compete in the National Finals,” Mr. Parris said. “The National FFA Convention with an attendance of more than 55,000 will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana in October,” he added.

Megan is the daughter of Jamie and Michele Wayne. Her FFA advisor is Pat Earle, Agricultural Education Instructor at McBee High School.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
