TAKES TOP STATE HONORSCLEMSON, SC…The Manning High School FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team took first place honors in the state finals held in conjunction with the SC FFA Convention at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Team members Kelsey Harrison, Taylor Stukes, Annette Egbonim, Kristen Keels, Vaneesa Capers and Kiera Walker along with advisor Michael Haynes, Agricultural Education Instructor at Manning High School, were awarded expense-paid trips to the National FFA Convention by the USDA Agricultural Statistics Service in concert with the SC FFA Association. The team will compete in the National Parliamentary Procedure Finals while in Indianapolis in October.
“Parliamentary Procedure is among the most challenging of all the FFA-sponsored Career Development Events and very valuable in terms of agricultural leadership training,” Mr. Parris said.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
