Third place honors went to the Cheraw High School FFA team which was coached by Robert Bollier, Agricultural Education Instructor at the school.

“A number of agricultural education departments in secondary schools include Poultry Science in their curriculum because of its importance to South Carolina’s overall economy,” Parris said. “Broiler production is the number one agricultural commodity in the state accounting for 23 percent of the total farm income”, he added.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
