AIKEN ADULT AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION PROGRAM NAMED
TOPS IN SOUTHERN STATESCOLUMBIA, SC….The Adult Division of the Agricultural Education Department at Aiken High School has been named the Outstanding Program in the Southern states and one of the top six in the nation for 2007, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs for the SC Agricultural Educators Association.
The program was headed up by Joe Wilson, Agricultural Education Instructor at the high school for more than 30 years until his recent retirement.
Meghan McPhail of Westminster, a recent graduate of Clemson University, is the new Agricultural Education Instructor and Director of Adult Agricultural Education effective July 1.
The prestigious award will be presented at the annual conference of the National Association of Agricultural Educators in Las Vegas, Nevada, in December.
