CLOVER FFA DAIRY EVALUATION TEAM IN NATIONAL FINALS
CLEMSON, SC…Clover High School FFA Dairy Evaluation Team members Brittany Stewart, Kelsey Coble, Kelsey Bridges and Katie Long took first place honors in the State Finals held at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA Organization.
The students and FFA Advisor Carrie C. Bolin, Agricultural Science Instructor at Clover High School, were awarded expense-paid trips to the compete in the National Finals held in conjunction with the National FFA Convention set for October in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kelsey Bridges was the high individual scorer and Brittany Stewart was the second high scorer in the state event.
Saluda High School FFA members Brent Lake, Kristin Gentry, Heather Dominick and Alicia Dickey were named the State Runner-up Team in the State Finals. Alicia Dickey was the third high scorer in the state event. Amanda Nichols, Agricultural Education Instructor at Saluda High School, is the FFA advisor.
York FFA members Whitney Templeton, Matt Hill, Holly Canipe and Kelly Howell placed third in the state competition. Their advisor is Frank Sandifer, Agricultural Education Instructor at the Floyd D. Johnson Technology Center in York.
The State Dairy Evaluation competition is co-sponsored by the Clemson University Spring Dairy Exposition and the SC FFA Foundation.
