COLUMBIA, SC…Dacusville Middle School FFA members Kendra Nix, Lexie Harbin, Connor Henderson and Taylor Cox took first place honors in the State FFA-sponsored Round Robin Competitive Event held in Columbia, SC, recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Kendra Nix was the high individual scorer and Connor Henderson tied for second high scorer in the state competition. Amy New, Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA advisor at Dacusville Middle School, coached the state championship team.

They were coached by Eldon Kimmel, Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA advisor at Bethune-Bowman.
Open to Agricultural Education students in the 6 th, 7 th and 8 th grades, the competition consists of a written test, tool identification, wildlife management, forestry-tree identification, horticulture and a team event.
The mission of the FFA is to make appositive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
