GILBERT FFA CHAPTER GIVEN NEW TRACTOR

COLUMBIA, SC….The Gilbert FFA Chapter has been presented a new tractor by Odell Barnes of Gilbert, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

Mr. Barnes, president of Barnes and Associates and owner of the Murray Town Arena, purchased the New Holland TT45A tractor from the Fairfield Tractor Company in Columbia.

“The new tractor is a tremendous addition to our Agricultural Engineering Laboratory,” said Derrick Cooper, Agricultural Education Instructor and FFA advisor at Gilbert High School. “We are very grateful to Mr. Barnes for his valuable contribution which will definitely inspire our FFA members to achieve greatness in their quest for an education in agriculture science and technology,” he added.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
