COLUMBIA, SC…Anderson FFA member Stephanie Johnson was named state winner in the FFA Creed Speaking Finals for 10th grade students enrolled in their first year of Agricultural Education courses. The competition was held in conjunction with the State FFA Convention at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Stephanie was awarded an expense-paid trip to the 2008 National FFA Convention by the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association.
Anderson FFA advisors Jay Copelan and Ashley Granata are agricultural education instructors at the Hanna-Westside Campus of Anderson District Five Schools.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
