ABBEVILLE FFA WILDLIFE TEAM IN STATE FINALS

COLUMBIA, SC….The Abbeville High School FFA Wildlife Management Team was named Runner-up in the State Finals held recently at the Georgetown campus of Horry-Georgetown Technical College, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

Team members Kristy Durham, Clay Hall, Brittany Sumner and Brianna Noblin were each presented a rifle scope by Brass Pro. Clay Hall was the high scorer and Kristy Durham was the second high scorer in the state competition. Fred Raines, Agricultural Education instructor and FFA advisor at Abbeville High School, coached the successful team.

“Wildlife Management is among the most competitive of all the career development events conducted by the SC FFA Association,” Parris said. “The Abbeville team and advisor can and should take pride in this superb accomplishment,” he added.

The SC FFA Foundation and Horry-Georgetown Technical College jointly fund this natural resources conservation event.
