The Pelion High School FFA Chapter held its annual Awards and Recognition Banquet Program recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organziation.

FFA members Ashley Sox and Savanna Williams were presented college scholarships by Alivia Gunter on behalf of the Lexington County Farm-City Committee.
Madeline Simons received the Outstanding Achievement Award for her scholastic accomplishments including the highest GPR of all the students enrolled in Agricultural Education courses.
Ashley Sox and Savanna Williams were named the Outstanding Agricultural Education seniors and recipients of the State FFA Degree.
The Chapter Star Farmer Award went to Brooke Whitaker and the Star Greenhand Award was presented to Jim Davis.
Richard Sox and Tim Stepp were awarded the prestigious Honorary FFA Chapter Degree for their superb support of the local FFA programs.
Frank R. Stover, Jr., Agricultural Education Instructor at Pelion High, serves as the FFA advisor.
The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
