AMICK NAMED TO STUDENT GOVERNMENT EXECUTIVE BOARD
Will Amick of Lexington, SC, was recently elected to the executive board of the Student Government Association at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Georgia, where he is a freshman majoring in Turf Management.
A 2008 graduate of Lexington High School, Will served as president of the Lexington Technology Center FFA Chapter and was recognized as the Outstanding Student at the Center.
Upon being elected state vice president of the SC FFA Association in 2008, Will was selected to represent the 500,000 member National FFA Organization on an Agricultural Study Tour to the Peoples Republic of China held in January 2009. He was also chosen to attend a National FFA Alumni Leadership Conference in Colorado in July 2009 as an official delegate of the SC FFA Alumni Association.
The son of Blake and Dell Amick, Will’s FFA advisor is Tommy Harmon, Agricultural Education instructor at the Lexington Technology Center.
