CAROLINA FOOTHILLS HERITAGE FAIR

WESTMINSTER, SC….A lengthy and determined effort by the local Young Farmer-Agribusiness Association and the West Oak FFA Chapter, under the leadership of Gwen McPhail, Agricultural Education instructor at West Oak High School, has come to fruition with the inauguration of the Carolina Foothills Heritage Fair, Thursday, October 22 through Sunday, October 25, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

The four-day event will spotlight the Agrarian heritage of Oconee and surrounding counties while providing unique cultural and educational experiences for the young and old on land adjacent West Oak High School at the intersection of Desiree Drive and Stadium Road. The high school is located at 130 Warrior Lane, Westminster, SC.

“Mrs. McPhail, the Agricultural Education Department organizations, and all who have joined in bringing an old fashioned county fair to Oconee County are to be commended for their vision, planning and hard work,” Parris said.
