MANNING FFA PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE TEAM STATE CHAMPIONS

COLUMBIA, SC….The Manning High School FFA Parliamentary Procedure team took first place honors in the state finals held during the state FFA convention at Clemson University this summer, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

Team members Emily Farmer, Carol-Gray Stukes, Lyndsey McDowell, Emmanuella Egbonim, Logan Lane and Marcus Wilson along with Advisor Michael Haynes, Agricultural Education instructor at Manning High School, were awarded expense-paid trips by the SC FFA Foundation to attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, later this year to compete in the National Finals.

“The Parliamentary Procedure competition is among the most challenging of all the FFA-sponsored career development events and an essential part of agricultural leadership training at the high school level,” Parris said.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
