MINCEY IS REGIONAL FFA STAR

CLEMSON, SC…Blake Mincey of Nichols, a member of the Green Sea-Floyds FFA Chapter, was named the Pee Dee Region Star Farmer by the SC FFA Association at a recent ceremony on the Clemson University campus, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the state FFA organization.

Blake farms in concert with his father producing corn, tobacco, hay, wheat and soybeans on an 800 acre operation. His livestock enterprise includes 32 Angus cattle and other animals.

A graduate of Green Sea-Floyds High School, Blake continues to be an active member of the local FFA.

Blake is the son of Sandon and Wanda Mincey of Nichols. His FFA advisor is Lee Mayfield, Agricultural Education instructor at Green Sea-Floyds High School.

“The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education,” Parris said.
