STATE FFA PRESIDENT TO BE IN TOURNAMENT OF ROSES PARADE
COLUMBIA, SC…Kerry Lee Cox, president of the SC FFA Association of Latta, SC, will participate in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, on January 1, 2010, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Kerry Lee will join the National FFA officer team and state FFA officers from throughout the nation in accompanying the National RFD-TV Satellite Network Float. The float design will identify RFD-TV and the National FFA Organization. The imagery will support the FFA theme “Leadership for a Growing Planet” emphasizing the diversity and global role of agriculture. Design elements will support these themes and position the FFA in its modern agricultural and education context.
“The FFA officers, on location for three days and two nights, will arrive in Pasadena on December 30 and depart January 1, 2010, Parris said. “The RFD-TV Network is providing the funds for coordinating and administering the FFA participation in the parade as a special project of the National FFA Foundation,” he added.
Kerry Lee, the daughter of Keith and Sheryl Cox of Latta, SC, is a freshman at Francis Marion University.
