National FFA President Levy Randolph congratulates Ashley King.KING AWARDED AMERICAN FFA DEGREE
Ashley King of Townville, SC, was recently awarded the American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affair with the SC FFA organization.
A 2008 graduate of Pendleton High School, Ashley is a junior at Clemson University majoring in Agricultural Education. She also serves as vice president of the Clemson University Collegiate FFA Organization.
Ashley’s FFA advisors when she was in high school at Pendleton were Josh Murdock and Lisa Stansell. Blake Berry replaced Ms. Stansell when she became an Agricultural Educator in the Greenville County School system. Ashley is the daughter of Boyd and Melissa King of Townville.
“The American FFA Degree is the highest and most prestigious award available to an FFA member at the national level and is presented to a select number of outstanding members from throughout the nation, Mr. Parris said. “The American FFA Degree Ceremony was reported on live television nationwide by the RFD-TV Satellite Network which reaches more than 40 million homes in America,” he added.
