MANNING FFA PARLIAMENTARY PROCEDURE TEAM TO
COMPETE IN NATIONAL FINALS

COLUMBIA, SC…The Manning High School FFA Parliamentary Procedure team will compete in national finals during the National FFA Convention to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, later this year, reports John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

Team members Echo Buffalo, Tatiana Ruiz, Catilyn Wirth, Amber Brown, Mitch Fleming and Siquena Witherspoon along with FFA Advisor Michael Haynes, Agricultural Education instructor at Manning High School, were awarded expense paid trips to the national convention by the SC FFA Foundation after taking first place honors in the State FFA Parliamentary finals held during the recent State FFA Convention at Clemson University.

“The Parliamentary Procedure competition is among the most challenging of all FFA-sponsored career development events,” Mr. Parris said. “Historically, parliamentary procedure training has been and continues to be an essential part of the valuable agricultural leadership training offered FFA members at the high school level,” he added.

The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education.
