DOBBINS NAMED REGIONAL FFA STAR
CLEMSON, SC…Troy Dobbins, a senior at Pendleton High School, was named the Piedmont Region FFA Star Farmer during the recent state FFA convention at Clemson University, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
The presentation of the prestigious award was made by Ronnie Summers, an official with AgSouth Farm Credit, on behalf of the SC Cooperative Council which sponsors the recognition program in concert with the SC FFA Association.
Troy, State FFA Secretary, is the son of Dr. Tom Dobbins, Program Coordinator of Agricultural Education at Clemson University, and Kathy Dobbins of Townville. His FFA advisors are Blake Berry and Josh Murdock.
“The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education,” Mr. Parris added.
