JOHNSON NAMED STATE FFA STAR IN AGRIBUSINESS

COLUMBIA, SC…Stephanie Johnson, an officer of the Anderson FFA Chapter and a 2010 graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, was named the State Star in Agribusiness by the SC FFA Association during a ceremony held at Clemson University recently, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.

“Stephanie received an engraved plaque and a check for $1200 provided by Southern States Cooperative and the SC FFA Foundation to defray expenses for her and an Anderson FFA advisor to attend the National FFA Convention later this year,” Mr. Parris said. “This is a prestigious honor to come to an FFA member and one Stephanie is most deserving,” he added.

The daughter of Chad and Melissa Johnson of Anderson, Stephanie will enroll at Tri-County Technical College in the fall with plans to eventually transfer to Clemson to major in Agriculture. Her FFA advisors are Ashley Granata and Jay Copelan, Agricultural Education instructors at the Anderson School District Five Hanna-Westside Campus.
