CLEMSON, SC…Scott Sherard of Abbeville, a 2010 graduate of Calhoun Falls Charter School, was recognized as the Piedmont Region FFA Star in Agricultural Placement during the recent state FFA convention at Clemson University. The recognition program is sponsored by the SC FFA Foundation.
“The FFA Star in Agricultural Placement Recognition Program is designed to spotlight the outstanding FFA member in each of four regions in the state who excelled in on-the-job training in an agricultural industry setting while enrolled in high school agricultural education courses,” said John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization.
Scott is the son of Calvert and Suzie Sherard of Abbeville. His FFA advisor is Carrie Caldwell, Agricultural Education instructor at Calhoun Falls Charter School.
“The mission of the FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agricultural Education,” Parris added.
