KELLY COPELAN RECEIVES STATE AGRICULTURE AWARD
COLUMBIA, SC….Kelly Copelan of Star, SC, has been named recipient of the Outstanding Agribusiness Award for the Piedmont Region of South Carolina by the State Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the organization. “Mrs. Copelan was recognized for her outstanding success in agribusiness at the association’s annual conference held in Myrtle Beach, SC,” Mr. Parris said.
The agribusiness recognition program is sponsored by the Pee Dee Federal Savings Bank of Marion, SC, in concert with the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association.
Mrs. Copelan was also named state winner in the Horticulture competition sponsored by Park Seed Company of Greenwood, SC, in concert with the young farmer and agribusiness organization.
A member of the Anderson Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter, Mrs. Copelan’s advisor is her husband, Jay Copelan, who serves as the Agricultural Education Teacher at the Hanna-Westside campus, Anderson District Five Schools.
