MAYE PRESENTED STATE CONSERVATION AWARD
COLUMBIA, SC…Kathy Maye of Marshville, NC, a member of the Central High School Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter, Pageland, SC, was recently named State Conservationist of the Year by the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the organization.
“Mrs. Maye was presented an engraved plaque and cash award by Jim Brogdon, an official with Santee Cooper who sponsors the recognition program in concert with the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association,” Mr. Parris said.
Tim Maye, Agricultural Education instructor at Central High School and husband of the award recipient, serves as advisor to the widely recognized Pageland area adult agricultural education group.
