NORRIS RECOGNIZED FOR CORN YIELDS
COLUMBIA, SC…Patrick Norris of Society Hill, SC, was recently recognized by the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, as the State Runner-up in Non-Irrigated Corn Production, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the organization.
Mr. Norris was presented an engraved plaque and a cash award by the Pioneer Hybrid International & Monsanto Company for producing 149.9 bushels per acre using the Pioneer 31 P40 variety.
A former state vice president of the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, Mr. Norris is an active member of the Antioch Chapter .
Don Boice, vice president of ArborOne Farm Credit headquartered in Florence, SC,, serves as the professional advisor to the local Young Farmer and Agribusiness group.
