COLUMBIA, SC…Brian Latimer of Belton, SC, a member of the Belton-Honea Path Young Farmer-Agribusiness Chapter, was recognized as the Outstanding Horticulturalist in South Carolina at a recent conference of the SC Young Farmer-Agribusiness Association held in Charleston, SC, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC Young Farmer-Agribusiness organization.
Mr. Latimer, co-owner of Latimer Landscaping Company, received an engraved plaque and a cash award from the SC Nursery and Landscape Association who sponsors the recognition program in concert with the SC Young Farmer-Agribusiness Association.
Glenn Stevens, Agricultural Education instructor at Belton-Honea Path High School, serves as the professional advisor to the Belton-Honea Path Adult Agricultural Education organization.
“This is indeed a prestigious honor to come to Mr. Latimer and he is to be commended for his success in landscape management and design,” Mr. Parris said.
