HAWKINS RECOGNIZED BY AGRICULTURALISTS
COLUMBIA, SC…Barry Hawkins, Agricultural Education instructor at Edisto High School, Cordova, SC, was recently recognized as the Outstanding Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter Advisor in the Lower-State Region by the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs for the organization.
Mr. Hawkins was presented a cash award from Learning Labs, Inc., sponsor of the recognition program in concert with the state Young Farmer and Agribusiness group at a state conference of Agriculturalists in Charleston, SC.
A member of the executive committee of the SC Agricultural Educators Association, Mr. Hawkins serves as professional advisor to the Edisto Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter and is also a member of the Orangeburg County Chapter.
