MCLEOD RECOGNIZED FOR AGRICULTURAL LEADERSHIP
COLUMBIA, SC...Frank McLeod of Camden, SC, president of the Sumter County Young Farmer and Agribusiness Chapter, was recently recognized as the Outstanding Chapter President in the Pee Dee Region by the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs for the organization.
Mr. McLeod received an engraved plaque and a cash award from Massey Ferguson who sponsors the recognition program in concert with the State Young Farmer and Agribusiness group. The Sumter chapter has a long and distinguished record of achievements in the various regional and state agricultural competitions.
John Weathers, Agricultural Education instructor at the Sumter County Career Center, serves as the professional advisor to the local Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association.
