S.C. FFA Recognition Day
at the
South Carolina State Fair

  • THE STATE FAIR OFFICIALS SAY THAT ADVISORS SHOULD BRING THE ORIGINAL LETTER OR SOME FORM OF IDENTIFICATION TO SHOW AT GATE 6. EACH STUDENT AND CHAPRONE SHOULD HAVE A PERSONAL ID
    (Either their school ID or one written out on a piece of paper)

  • There will be a brief assembly of FFA members, advisors and guests in the George B. Nutt Livestock Arena at 11:00 AM to afford State Fair officials an opportunity to welcome everyone and emphasize their continued commitment of support for Agricultural Education and the FFA.

 

  • In addition to the usual SC FFA Association display in the arena, we will have the SC Farm Bureau’s Ag Simulator display on hand for FFA members to sit in a cab of a large combine and experience a 52 second sensation of operating it in a field of grain. The display area will be open at 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM in the afternoon on October 15. Another addition of interest will be the large number of top quality dairy cattle on exhibit at the State Fair.

 

  • Daley’s Concession will offer an FFA LunchSpecial of a choice between a hotdog or corndog and a drink for $3 inclusive. Coupons are required to participate in this good deal. Zane Bryant, Resident Director of the SC FFA Leadership Center, will have coupons available for distribution at the Regional Agricultural Educators meetings scheduled for September.
