ANNOUNCING FFA DAY AT THE STATE FAIR

FFA DAY at the 2010 South Carolina STATE FAIR will be held THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14. The event will include brief assembly of FFA members, advisor and guests in the George B. Nutt Livestock Arena at 11:00 AM to afford State Fair officials an opportunity to welcome everyone and emphasize their continued commitment of support for Agricultural Education and the FFA, according to John W. Parris, state director of public affairs with the SC FFA organization who coordinates FFA Day events.

The SC FFA Association Display will be located in the Livestock Arena near the assembly area. We have arranged for Daley’s Concession to offer an FFA Lunch Special of a choice between a hotdog or corn dog and a drink for $4 inclusive. Coupons are required for participation in the opportunity, but payment for the food will be made at the time of purchase. FFA advisors are requested to notify Ms. Brenda Baldwin at bbaldwi@clemson.edu or at 803-699-3186 a week in advance of FFA Day of the number of coupons needed. Ms. Baldwin will distribute the coupons at the FFA Display in the Nutt Livestock Arena before and after the assembly.

State Fair officials will provide details to FFA advisors by mail on the procedure for receiving complimentary Gate Passes. This letter should be received by mid- September. If you do not receive a letter by that time please contact John W. Parris at scffa@bellsouth.net or 803-771-0520.
