UPDATE

Questions asked:

What arc electrode do you like?
We generally use 1/8" E7014 here at Clemson

What does "Materials Handling" mean?
This can be the movement or conveying of materials as they relate to Animal Production Systems. This could include belt-pulley speeds, volumes, conversion of units, etc.

What kind of labels do they need to know how to read?
Comprehension of packaging/instructional labels, directions, plan reading, interpretation of information in any form may be included.  This is also important when students read the problems/skill sheets when they start at a particular station.

Does you Dumpy level have 3 or 4 leveling screws?
It could be either. My personal level has four leveling screws/feet. We have both styles and the number of teams registered in June will be a factor in which style we use. Either way, each station will have the same style base during the contest. Remember, readings will be taken using a Philadelphia rod.

ADDITIONALLY- The arc welding may include butt, lap, and/or Tee welds.  Students must be able to oxy-fuel cut 3/16 to 1/4 inch thick steel plate. Welding helmets, gloves, aprons, etc. will be provided.
