  • Contest will consist of both individual and team activities. The individual activity will be judging halter and performance classes. There will be 3 halter classes and 3 performance classes that can include:
    • Western Pleasure
    • Arabian Western Pleasure
    • Reining
    • English Pleasure (Saddle Seat)
    • Hunter Under Saddle
    • Conformation classes could include Stock-Type, American Saddlebreds, Arabians, and Hunter-In-Hand. Oral reasons will be given on one halter class and one performance class, for a total of 2 sets of reasons.
    • The team activity will consist of an industry scenario team problem. Your team will have 10 minutes to read the problem statement, solve the problem, and write a response to be judged. This will not be an oral presentation this year. The industry scenario will come from one of the following:
      • Nutrition
      • Management
      • Reproduction
      • Marketing
    • And will consist of indentification of one or more of the following:
      • Breeds
      • Tack/Equipment
      • Feed
      • Horse Anatomy

  I-85 South, traveling towards Clemson - Take exit 27, Hwy 81. Turn right off of ramp and go past Dairy Queen. The first road on the right will be Web Road. The second is Welcome Road. Turn right onto Welcome Rd. Go straight and you will cross back over I-85. At the top of the bridge you will see construction of the Walgreen Distribution Center on your right. Welcome Ranch is on the left, directly across from this construction site.

 I-85 North, traveling towards Greenville - Take exit 27, Hwy 81. Turn left off of ramp and go past Dairy Queen. The first road on the right will be Web Road. The second is Welcome Road. Turn right onto Welcome Rd. Go straight and you will cross back over I-85. At the top of the bridge you will see construction of the Walgreen Distribution Center on your right. Welcome Ranch is on the left, directly across from this construction site.
