The FFA Dairy CDE will consist of:

5-6 classes of dairy cattle – 3 heifers and 2-3 cow class

2 Reason classes (cows)

1 Team event- that will use DHIA 202’s and an official pedigree from one of the major breed organizations

50-75 question test- the test question will be taken from the last two years (2009 and 2010) dairy jeopardy practice questions- the link is listed below

Registration will begin at 3:30 and the contest will start at 4:30 PM on Friday  March 5, 2006.

A Dairy Handlers Contest has been added to this year’s even. This event will follow National FFA Guidelines and their score card will be used. The winner of this event will be awarded at least $200.00 to offset cost to the National FFA Convention to participate in the National Contest.

It is suggested that any FFA member who does not have a school participating in the Evaluation CDE and has been certified by his/her advisor to have shown cattle before participate in this contest. These members will be judged while they are leading the animals for the FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation Event
