- Contest will consist of both individual and team activities. The individual activity will be judging halter and performance classes. There will be 3 halter classes and 3 performance classes that can include:
- Western Pleasure
- Arabian Western Pleasure
- Reining
- English Pleasure (Saddle Seat)
- Hunter Under Saddle
- Hunter Hack
- Conformation classes could include Stock-Type, American Saddlebreds, Arabians, and Hunter-In-Hand. Oral reasons will be given on one halter class and one performance class, for a total of 2 sets of reasons.
- The team activity will consist of an industry scenario team problem. Your team will have 10 minutes to read the problem statement, solve the problem, and write a response to be judged. This will not be an oral presentation this year. The industry scenario will come from one of the following:
- Nutrition
- Management - herd or facility
- Reproduction
- Marketing - herd or business
- SAMPLE SCENARIO
- And will consist of identification of one or more of the following:
- Breeds
- Tack/Equipment
- Feed
- Horse Anatomy
- Schedule
