A Message From The State FFA Advisor
Dear Friends:
We often say to ourselves, “What is wrong with the education system in our state?” The real question is – What do you plan to do about it? I am here to tell you that Agricultural Education and FFA is an example of what is RIGHT in our schools today. Agricultural Education’s hands-on learning, character education and exposure to the opportunities in life has proven to be successful for over 75 years.
Today Agricultural Education and the FFA is as strong as ever in South Carolina and has experienced considerable growth in recent years as our school’s and school districts are realizing the value of a program that reflects the diverse agricultural industry of today while maintaining the proud tradition of the FFA.
Perhaps you too have experienced the magic of the Blue and Gold that is the FFA. Perhaps it has helped you to develop confidence to succeed in your chosen career. Perhaps you utilize parliamentary procedure abilities or public speaking skills that were first learned in the FFA. Or perhaps you have become more then you ever thought you could because of that FFA Advisor who exposed you to the many opportunities available to you.
As FFA continues to address the needs of young people, we need your support. With growth comes increased demands, demands that can only be met through the support of those who believe in this program.
I would like to encourage executives, agricultural leaders, professionals, past FFA members and others interested in a quality educational program to make a personal or corporate contribution in support of the FFA and agricultural education. It is only through your support that we can continue to offer opportunities to the hardworking and talented FFA youth who represent the best of South Carolina.
South Carolina’s youth need to continue to experience the magic of the blue and gold jackets through dedicated FFA Advisors and strong community support. I would encourage you to please take this opportunity to support this most effective organization and help make a difference in education in South Carolina.
