Ashton Berry
State Secretary
Ashton is from Saluda, S.C. and is a member of the Saluda FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Luke and Teresa Berry. She has a sister, Shelby, and a brother, Curt. She also has cats, dogs, horses, and cows.
She enjoys being a member of FFA because she gets to meet so many people and is provided with many opportunities. Her SAE was Equine Production Entrepreneurship. She feels that her three most important accomplishments were being at the top of her class, developing leadership qualities, and being elected to state office. Ashton's goal for the S.C. FFA Program is to assist the FFA membership and to serve others.
Ashton says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Amanda Nichols, is to listen and to be on time.
Her favorite food is chicken. The last movie that she saw was Cars, but her favorite movie is any chick flick. If you picked up her iPod, you would find it filled with country and contemporary Christian music. The last book that she read was The Great Gatsby .
She will be a senior at Saluda High School this fall. Her goal is to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
