Amanda Hiott
State President
Amanda is from Williston, S.C. and is a member of the Barnwell County Career Center FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Craig and B.J. Hiott and has four brothers - Trey, Ben, Vernon, and Wes. Her pets are a dog, a horse, and a cow.
She enjoys being a member of FFA because of the people that she gets to meet and the opportunities that are available to FFA members. Her SAE was Agribusiness. She feels that her most important accomplishments were being one of the first Commissioner's School graduates and being elected by her peers as the 4-H State Council President. She wants her lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA Program to be improving communications among the state's chapters.
Amanda says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Mindy Sandifer, is to never give up and to be confident.
Her favorite food is steak. The last movie that she saw was X-Men III, but her favorite movie is A Walk to Remember . If you picked up Amanda's iPod, you would find it loaded with country, rap, and rock music.
Amanda has set her sights on becoming a veterinarian. She will attend Clemson University this fall, majoring in Pre-Veterinary Sciences.
