Lara Boyd
State Vice President

Lara is from Aiken, S.C. and is a member of the Aiken High School FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Kathleen Dyches and has a sister, Amber. She shares her home with her 2 pets, Foxy and Max.

She enjoys being a member of FFA because she learning skills and teaching other people about those skills. Her SAE was Nursery / Greenhouse Operations and Management. She feels that her three most important accomplishments were running for a state office, joining FFA, and being elected president of her FFA chapter. She wants her lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA Program to be leaving a great impression of FFA with everyone, whether they are involved in the program or not.

Lara says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Joe Wilson, is to respect herself and others.

The last movie that she saw was Hoodwinked, but her all-time favorite is Grease. If you picked up her iPod, you would find it filled with country music. The last books that she read was the FFA Student Handbook and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm.

The future will find Lara pursuing a career in floral design. She will attend Aiken Technical College as a freshman this fall to pursue her goals.
