Brittany Mixson
State Vice President

Brittany is from Cope, S.C. and is a member of the Edisto FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Mitchell and Monique Mixson and has two brothers, Blake and Wayne, and a sister, Abi. She also has a horse, Strawberry, a Laborador Retriever, Esso, and a mixed puppy, Firecracker.

She enjoys being a member of FFA because it provides her with opportunities to meet people and visit new places. Her SAE was working with a small animal veterinarian and caring for Strawberry, which is her draft cross horse. She feels that her three most important accomplishments were finishing the High Ropes course at camp, attending WLC twice and being elected to a state office. Brittany wants her lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA Program to be improving the association fo future generations and to continue agricultural education.

Brittany says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Barry Hawkins, was that no matter what you did or how well you did it, it was the fact that you tried that counted.

Her favorite type of food is good country cooking. The last movie that she saw was Pirates of the Carribean 3 , but her all-time favorite is Pride and Prejudice . If you picked up her iPod, you would find it filled primarily country music, but it will also have some rock, rap and punk. The last book that she read was Jane Eyre .

Brittany will be a senior at Edisto High School this year. Upon graduation, she would like to attend Clemson University.
