Hunter Cooper
State Secretary

Hunter is from Calhoun Falls, S.C. and is a member of the Calhoun Falls FFA Chapter. He is the son of Stan and Mary Cooper. He has a brother, Clay. He also has a Boykin Spaniel named Jenny.

He enjoys being a member of FFA because he gets to meet so many people and gets to travel. His SAE was growing and selling watermelons and managing the Calhoun Falls High School Athletic Fields. He feels that his three most important accomplishments were lettering in football and track, being in FFA, and being elected to state office. Hunter's goal for the S.C. FFA Program is to develop enthusiasm and a deep passion for agriculture.

Hunter says that the most valuable lesson that he has learned from his Agriculture teacher, Calvert Sherard, is to "go forth and do wondrous things and represent your people well."

His favorite food is anything that his mother would cook, like fried chicken livers and froglegs. His favorite movies are football and sports movies . If you picked up his iPod, you would find it filled with mostly country, but also rap and bluegrass (if he had an iPod!!).

He will be a senior at Calhoun Falls High School this fall. His goal after graduation is to major in Agricultural Education and minor in Sports Turf Management.
