William Nelson
State Vice President

William is from Clinton, S.C. and is a member of the Laurens FFA Chapter. He is the son of James and Dawn Nelson and has a brother, Aaron. He also has a Great Pyrenees dog.

He enjoys being a member of FFA because its wide range of experiences and opportunities. His SAE was the maintenance of his church and its grounds. He feels that his most important accomplishments were becoming a state officer and graduating. He wants his lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA program to be encouraging its members to take advantage of all of the available programs.

William says that the most valuable lesson that he has learned from his Agriculture teacher, Melanie Birchmore, is to have a good work ethic.

His favorite type of food is Greek. The last movie that he saw was Pirates of the Carribean 2 and his favorite movie was October Sky. If you picked up his iPod, you would find it filled with country and rock music. The last book that he read was The Art of War.

William will be a freshman at Francis Marion University this fall. He is aspiring to be a teacher.
