Caroline Sherard
State Vice President
Caroline is from Abbeville, S.C. and is a member of the Abbeville FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Calvert and Suzie Sherard and has 2 brothers, William and Scott.
She enjoys being a member of FFA because she gets to meet new people from all over the state and country. It also gives her the opportunity to learn new things and to compete. Her SAE was Home and/or Community Development. She feels that her most important accomplishments are being being elected as a state officer, participating on a state winning Dairy Foods team, and being a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Youth Council. As her lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA Program, she wants to be remembered as "the girl who never met a stranger and who could get along with everyone!!"
Caroline says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Fred Raines, is to always be prompt and prepared.
Her favorite food is gumbo. The last movie that she saw was Maid of Honor , but her all-time favorite is A Walk to Remember . If you picked up her iPod, you would find it mainly filled with country music, but it would also have a little bit of everything. The last book that she read was Eldest.
The future will find Caroline pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education. She will attend Piedmont Technical College next year with plans to transfer to Winthrop University.
