Matthew Adams
State Vice President
Matt is from Hamer, S.C. and is a member of the Latta FFA Chapter. He is the son of Ernie and Mary Adams and has a sister, Erin. He also has a dog, Chance and a cat, Sam.
He enjoys being a member of FFA because of all the opportunities that it offers him on a day-to-day basis. His SAE was Landscape Management. He feels that his three most important accomplishments were being accepted to attend Clemson University, graduating with an Honors Diploma, and being elected to state office. Matt wants his lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA Program to be building a strong desire in young people to be involved in agriculture and agricultural education.
Matt says that the most valuable lesson that he has learned from his Agriculture teacher, Aaron Miles, was to do everything to the best of your abilities because even small things can lead to large accomplishments.
His favorite type of food is steak. The last movie that he saw was Fool's Gold, but his all-time favorite is Tombstone. If you picked up his iPod, you would find it filled primarily country music with a bit of everything added. He listens to a lot of Josh Turner's music. The last book that he read was How to be a Gentleman by John Bridges.
Matt's future plan is to attend Clemson University with a double major of Agricultural Education and Turfgrass.
