Courtney Threatt
State Vice President
Courtney is from Jefferspm, S.C. and is a member of the McBee FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Scott and Robin Threatt. She has a brother, Justin. She also has a chocolate lab, Calleigh and a chinchilla.
She enjoys being a member of FFA because "it gives me many opportunities to be involved in something larger than myself and to experience the diversity within our organization." Her SAE was harvesting and selling watermelons at Threatt Farms. She feels that her proudest moment was being elected as a state officer. She wants her lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA program "to make a noticable impact on the members and association as a whole."
Courtney says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Pat Earle, is "whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right."
Her favorite type of food is "mama's cooking". Her favorite movie is Grease. If you picked up her iPod, you would find it filled with almost any variety of music. The last book that she read was The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch.
Courtney is a senior at McBee High School and is looking forward to attending Clemson University, majoring in Graphic Communications.
