Curt Berry
State Vice President
Curt is from Saluda, S.C. and is a member of the Saluda FFA Chapter. He is the son of Luke Berry and Teresa Porter and has two sisters, Ashton and Shelby. He also has a dog.
His most memorable FFA activity was competing in the 2011 Forestry CDE. His SAE was veterinary medicine placement. It is no surprise that he wishes to attend Clemson University majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and continue on to Veterinary School at the University of Georgia to earn a Veterinary Medicine doctorate. His favorite farm animal is the beef cow.
While he wants his lasting contribution to the SCFFA to be his focused energy, outside of FFA activities Curt enjoys spending time on the farm and hanging out with new and old friends. You will find him enjoying country and rock music on his iPod and eating "anything that doesn't eat me first." If he could travel to anywhere in the world, he would like to tour Europe.
The most valuable lesson that he has learned from his agriculture teacher, Amanda Nichols, is to "not argue with them - just let it soak in, and it may be useful later on." His favorite quote is from the movie Forrest Gump - "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get."
