Cody Bishop
State Secretary
Cody is from Cordova, S.C. and is a member of the Edisto FFA Chapter. He is the son of Conrad and Donna Bishop and has two sisters, Caitlin and Riam. He also has a dog.
His most memorable FFA activity is attending the SCFFA State Convention. His SAEs were Wildlife Management and Lawn Care. As his contribution to the SCFFA, he wishes to be a positive influence on others in the state.
Outside of FFA activities, Cody enjoys deer hunting and eating seafood. If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would like to see New Zealand. His favorite farm animal is a donkey.
The most valuable lesson that he has learned from his agriculture teacher, Barry Hawkins, is to learn as much as possible and keep going no matter what happens. His favorite quote, attributed to Thomas Jefferson, is "Those who hammer their guns into plows will plow for those who do not."
Cody will enroll in the Bridge Program which is a partnership between TriCounty Technical College and Clemson University in the fall pursuing a degree in Agricultural Education. He would like to teach or become an extension agent.
