Perry Loftis
State President

Perry is from Iva, S.C. and is a member of the Crescent FFA Chapter. He is the son of Julie and Shea Loftis and has one sister, Brennan. He also has a dog.

His most memorable FFA activity was staying up all night cooking barbeque for the faculty and FFA members during FFA week. His SAE was tomato farming / vegetable production. He wants his lasting contribution on the SCFFA program to be having a positive influence on each chapter and encouraging members to not limit their possibilities.

Outside of his FFA activities, Perry enjoys firefighting, hunting and fishing. He also enjoys playing the guitar and mandoline. It's no surprise that you would find his iPod loaded with bluegrass music! He enjoys eating barbeque and would visit Ireland if he could travel to anywhere in the world. The cow is his favorite farm animal.

The most important lessons that he has learned from his agriculture teachers, Tim Keown and Roger Estridge, is to not limit your possibilities and to strive for everything. His favorite quote is "Indecision in no decision."

Perry plans to major in Wildlife and Fishery Science and Biology at Clemson University. He would like to continue his education at a medical school to become an anesthesiologist.
