Michael Burdette
State Vice President

Michael is from Calhoun Falls, S.C. and is a member of the Calhoun Falls High School FFA Chapter. He is the son of Tony and Kay Burdette and has a brother, Andrew and a sister, Shannon. He also has three dogs. Stripe, Beartrack, and Beagal.

He enjoys being a member of FFA because he loves the organization and the people. His SAE's were Turf-Lawn Management and Home Development. He feels that his three most important accomplishments were being the Valdictorian of his class, being a member of the state-winning FFA and DNR Environthon team, and being elected State FFA Vice-President. He wants his lasting contribution to the S.C. FFA Program to be inspiring members to pursue all of their goals and dreams, not only within the FFA but also in life.

Michael says that the most valuable lesson that he has learned from his Agriculture teacher, Calvert Sherard, is to always be your best self and always be honest and fair.

His favorite food is Applebee's Bourbon Street steak. The last movie that he saw was Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but his all-time favorite was Star Wars . If you picked up his iPod, you would find it filled with all types of music. The last book that he read was Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The future will find Michael pursuing a career as an orthodontist. He will attend Erskine College as a freshman this fall, with future plans of attending the Medical University of South Carolina.
