Jacob Powers
State Vice President

Jacob is from Lexington, S.C. and is a member of the Lexington Technology Center FFA Chapter. He is the son of Jeff and Barb Powers and has a brother, Zach. He also has a cat and a dog.

He enjoys being a member of FFA because its members and activities. His SAE was Floriculture. He feels that his three most important accomplishments were being named Lexington Technology Center's Student of the Year, being a member of two state winning CDE teams, and earning the state proficiency award in Floriculture. Jacob's goal for the S.C. FFA Program is to keep everyone working hard to create a successful organization and to never give up.

Jacob says that the most valuable lesson that he has learned from his Agriculture teacher, Tommy Harmon, is to be active, to be on time, and to be professional.

His favorite food is steak. The last movie that he saw was National Treasure, but his all-time favorite is The Patriot . If you picked up his iPod, you would find it filled with Christian and country music. The last book that he read was Shelley's Frankenstein.

Jacob's future plan is to one day own a landscaping business.
