Emily Waggoner
State Secretary
Emily is from Pendleton, S.C. and is a member of the Pendleton FFA Chapter. She is the daughter of Steve and Kitty Waggoner and has a sister, Allison. She also has a border collie named Belle. She enjoys listening to country music.
She enjoys being a member of FFA because she feels that there are so many opportunities to become experienced. His SAE was Dairy Production, which received a Gold National Proficiency award. She feels that her three most important accomplishments were being named Valedictorian of her class, placing fifth highest individual in the National FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation, and being elected to state office. Emily's goal for the S.C. FFA Program is to motivate FFA members to get involved and prove that every goal is achievable.
Emily says that the most valuable lesson that she has learned from her Agriculture teacher, Garrett Howard, is to have fun and enjoy the experience.
She will be a freshman at Clemson University this fall, majoring in Animal and Veterinary Science. Her goal is to become a large animal veterinarian, specializing in dairy cattle.
